Nelliampathy Nelliampathy

Seethakandu:

Seethakandu is a 100 m high waterfall that offers a vantage view of the Nelliampathy spectacle. At regular intervals, these hills stop abruptly to form cliffs overlooking the panoramic valley. Seethakandu is also famous in another respect- it is believed that Rama, Lakshmana and Sita (characters of the epic Ramayana) once lived in the place and that Sita used to offer worship with water from the stream in Seethakandu.

Pothundi Reservoir:

The glistening Pothundi Reservoir and its well manicured surroundings is an ideal stop- over for a tourist en route his journey to Nelliampathy.

Pothundi Dam:

Pothundi Dam is an irrigation dam and still stands as a wonder for the technology, being built without using cement or concrete at all. It is a very old dam, with history dating back to 1800 AD.

Kesavanpara:


Once at Kesavanpara one can enjoy the panoramic view of the land below.
