The bungalow was built in 1927, which is today in the Gudarale Tea estate . The estate was opened in 1886 by W Kindersley who came here from Nilgiris which was a Cinchona plantation and later converted to tea in 1905. Nettikudi, the name, probably comes from Netti meaning forehead and Kudi meaning dwelling in Tamil.
