Mahe Beach
Mahe Beach lies about twenty two kilometers to the south of Kannur and forms the northern strip of Kerala state.
Serenity plus fun, that’s Mahe. Visitors may stroll on the Mahe Beach, enjoying the magnificence of sunrise and sunset. You can see numerous fishing hamlets beautifully snuggled between palm trees.
Auroville beach
This beach lies about 12 km from Pondicherry town, opposite to the roads that take you to Auroville. The shallow waters and small waves make Auroville beach an ideal spot for swimming and various beach activities. Book your beach front cottages in advance, as the beach remains populated during weekends.
Promanade Beach
One of the popular and most frequently visited beaches of Pondicherry, Promanade beach lies over a stretch of about 1.5 kilometers. The southern end of the beach displays the colossal statue of the most popular French Governor of the region, Monsieur Dupleix. Beyond that is a raised walkway stretch that extends for about 284 meters. Another attraction is a tall statue of Gandhiji, facing the Gandhi Maidan, with 8 tall monolithic structures surrounding it. A romantic stroll along the shoreline of the beach would be an effervescent memory for you.
Karaikal Beach
Accessible through a 2 km road running close to Arasalar River, Karaikal Beach is the perfect view-point for sunrise–watchers.
As a part of the beach beautification process, sodium vapour lamps have been provided along the roads for sufficient illumination. A tennis court, children's park with various types of interesting rides, vehicles parking facility etc. are the other attractive features of the beach. Get on with a round of beach volley ball with your loved ones or lay down flat on the smooth sand gazing high up the sky.
