Day 01:

Upon arrival at the Trivandrum Airport our representative will cordially welcome you and take you by road to Kovalam; on arrival check-in into hotel. Kovalam is one of the prime beach destinations in India. Enjoy the evening watching a spectacular sunset or swimming at the picturesque Kovalam Beach. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02:

 Following a sumptuous breakfast, proceed for a local sightseeing tour of Trivandrum – the capital of Kerala. Trivandrum or Thiruvananthapuram is an ancient city with a history dating back as early as 1000 BC. Thiruvananthapuram, meaning the city of the sacred serpent Anantha, became the capital of the erstwhile princely kingdom of Travancore in 1750 AD. Visit the Padmanabhaswami Temple, Srichitra Art Gallery, Napier Museum and Zoo. Return for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03:

After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey; on arrival check-in into a houseboat (check-in time 1.00 pm). Alleppey, known as the ‘Venice of the East’, is a district of immense natural beauty, with a vast network of lakes, lagoons, canals and freshwater rivers crisscrossing its terrain. The district, bordering the Arabian Sea in the west, also enjoys a unique place in the maritime history of Kerala. Today, this backwater destination is famous for its boat races, beaches, marine products and coir industry. A unique tourist attraction in Alleppey is the “Kuttanad” region – known as the rice bowl of Kerala. Kuttanad is a land of lush paddy fields and is one of the few places in the world where farming is done below sea level. Enjoy a full day cruise along the scenic backwaters of Vembanad Lake. Overnight stay onboard the houseboat.

Day 04:

 After an on-board breakfast, check-out of the houseboat at Alleppey (check out time 9.30 am) and drive to Thekkady; on arrival check-in into hotel. Afternoon, proceed for a local sightseeing tour of Thekkady. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, spread over 777 sq. km. including 360 sq. km of dense evergreen forest tract, is one of the most fascinating wildlife reserves in Kerala. Declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978, the sanctuary is noted for its geomorphology, abundance of wildlife and abounding scenic beauty. Optional activities including - Boating at Periyar Lake, Spice Plantation visit, Bamboo Rafting, Trekking and Elephant Ride, can be arranged at an extra cost. Return for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05:

Depart for Kodaikanal by road, after a filling breakfast at the hotel; on arrival check-in into hotel. Afternoon you will be taken for a sightseeing tour of Kodaikanal. Kodaikanal, at a distance of 120 km from Madurai, lies on the southern crust of the Palani Hills. The town is centered-around the star shaped Kodai Lake spread over an area of sixty acres. Kodaikanal has thickly wooded slopes, well laid out stroll paths through picturesque landscapes, gorgeous waterfalls and steep rocky drops. Places of tourist interest include the Lake, Solar Physical Observatory, Bryant Park, Coaker’s Walk, Kurunji Andavar Temple, Green Valley View, Pillar Rocks and Shembaganur Natural History Museum.  Overnight at the hotel.

Day 06:

After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Ooty; on arrival check-in into hotel. Rest of the day is at your disposal to enjoy at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07:

After a refreshing breakfast proceed for a local sightseeing tour of Ooty. The beautiful hill station of Ooty is located on the Blue Mountains (Nilgiris) at an altitude of 2240 m above MSL. Ooty, known as the ‘Queen of Hill Stations’, was once a favorite summer retreat for the Govt. of Madras. The landscape here is interspersed with vast expanses of tea gardens, dense forests, sprawling grasslands and lofty mountains. Places of tourist interest here include the Botanical Gardens, Centenary Rose Park, Rose Garden, Lake, Government Museum, Deer Park and Doddabetta. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 08:

 Following breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Mysore; on arrival check-in into hotel. Afternoon, embark on a sightseeing tour of Mysore. Mysore, a calm and serene city, lies at a distance of 139 km from Bangalore. The city was the imperial capital of the erstwhile Mysore kingdom ruled by the Wodeyar dynasty. Places of tourist interest include the grand Mysore Palace, Chamarajendra Art Gallery, Mysore Zoo Gardens, St. Philomena’s Church, Temples, Chamundi Hills, Brindavan Gardens and Bylakuppa. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09:

Depart by road to Bangalore, after a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel; on arrival check-in into hotel. Afternoon, proceed for a local sightseeing tour of Bangalore City. Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka, is known popularly as the city of Gardens. The city is today the Silicon Valley of India apart from being the principal administrative, commercial and industrial hub of Karnataka State. It lies at an altitude of 920 m above MSL. The present day Bangalore City was founded by Kempe Gowda, a chieftain under the Vijayanagara Empire, in 1537 A.D. With the support from king Achutaraya, he built a mud fort here and established petite towns inside the fort. Places of tourist interest here include the Lalbagh Gardens, Vidhana Soudha, Cubban Park and Museum, The Govt. Museum, Cariappa Memorial Park, Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum, Tippu’s Palace, The Fort, Bull Temple, Venkatappa Art Gallery. Overnight at the hotel.
 

Day 10:

After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Bangalore Airport for your onward journey.
