In an aim to promote domestic tourism the Government of India announced a very dynamic and creative initiative known as "Dekho Apna Desh" wherein it promise to reward those tourist who visit 15 or more tourist places in an year and submit the photos on the official tourism website. The tourism minster Prahalad Patel Singh announced the scheme during the 2 days National Conference on Tourism held in Konark, Odisha. The reward program is for tourist who are visiting tourist destinations out of their home state.
"The tourism ministry will fund the travel expenses of tourists who visit 15 destinations in the country in a year and submit the photos on the official tourism website."
To be eligible for the program tourism needs to first take a pledge to visit 15 tourist destinations and get a certificate. Below is the step by step procedure for the same.
Step 1: Visit website
Step 2: Select preferred language (English or Hindi)
Step 3: Click on "Take Pledge" Button
Step 4: Get your certificate through Mobile text or Email. You can also download the certificate.
Take part in the scheme to promote domestic tourism and enjoy the benefits from India Government. Kerala should definitely be included in the 15 domestic tourist places to visit in a year.
