You will be picking from Cochin Airport / Thrissur railway station and drive to Guruvayur (02 ½ Hrs drive); on arrival check-in into hotel. Afternoon proceeds for local sightseeing in and around Guruvayoor - a thriving township in Trichur district, Guruvayoor is known for its scenic beauty and serenity. The place is noted for the Guruvayurappan Temple, Anakotta - Guruvayur Devaswom elephant sanctuary -one of the largest elephant sanitarium in all over the world. Also known as Punnathurkotta, Anakotta is 3 km far from Guruvayur Temple. Evening Darshan at Guruvayoor Temple. Overnight stay in Guruvayoor.
After Breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Athirapilly (03 Hrs). One of the most enchanting water falls in the country, Athirappilly waterfalls with its beauty and majesty is real feast for your eyes. The surrounding lush green nature with streams and rivulets passing through the rocks adds music to the serene atmosphere. Later visit Vazhachal falls, Thumboormuzhi; Thumboormuzhi is a river diversion project by the irrigation department. We have a very beautiful garden here where children and elders can relax and enjoy nature. The highlight of Thumboormuzhi is the hanging bridge which is built across the chalakudi river. After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Munnar (05 Hrs). On the way enjoy some waterfalls and natural scenic spots. Munnar, situated 1600 Meter above sea level at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. On arrival at Munnar check into Hotel. After breakfast spend the day with local sightseeing. Places to visit are Tea Museum -displays the history and evolution of the tea plantations in Munnar. Entry fee Rs.125/- per adult, the museum is open to tourists till 5pm. If you are a flora lover, pay a visit to the Floriculture Centre Munnar. Commonly known as Rose Garden, it has over hundred varieties of flowers and herbal plants. Open from 10 am to 5 pm and charges Rs.30 per person. The Eravikulam National Park in Munnar is one of the five national parks in Kerala, with rich flora and fauna, which is home to the famous Nilgiri Thar. The park closes at 4 pm. Entry fee (Indian adult = Rs.120/-, Indian Child between 5 to 12 yrs age = Rs.90/-, Foreigner= Rs.450/-) The Mattupetty Dam / Lake is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Munnar, surrounded by lush green forest. Entry fee Rs.40/- per person. Open from 9:30 am till 5 pm. You may also engage in boating and horse rides [depend on availability] (ranges from Rs.50 to Rs.700). The Kundala Lake / Dam is one of the most picturesque locations in Munnar. It requires no entry fees, but boating activities costs from Rs.100/- to Rs.200/-. Visitors are allowed till 5pm.
